This policy applies to purchases from J & M (VIC) Pty Ltd trading as Tyreforce – Wheels & Tyres Centre. For help with a purchase, call (03) 9308 6655 or contact us with your order details.
Your consumer rights
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply alongside this policy and any manufacturer’s warranty. We do not limit or exclude rights or remedies that the law gives you.
For a major product failure, you can choose a replacement or a refund. For a less serious failure, we can generally arrange a repair or another appropriate remedy. If a repair is not completed within a reasonable period, further remedies may be available.
For a major failure in a service, you may cancel the service contract and receive a refund for its unused part, or seek compensation for the reduction in value. Other service failures must be put right within a reasonable period. You may also have a right to compensation for losses that could reasonably have been expected to result from the failure.
How to raise a problem
- Contact us with your order number, receipt or other proof of purchase.
- Describe the problem and when it occurred. Photos of the product, packaging or damage may help.
- Speak with us about assessment and suitable return or collection arrangements.
We may need to inspect the product or service before confirming the appropriate remedy. You can raise your claim with Tyreforce; you do not have to pursue the manufacturer instead.
Return and collection costs
If a product is confirmed to have a fault covered by the consumer guarantees, we will reimburse reasonable return transport costs. Keep any transport receipts. Where a faulty product cannot reasonably be returned without significant cost, contact us so we can arrange the collection or transport required by law.
Original packaging is not required to exercise your consumer rights. Please protect a returned product appropriately for transport. We do not deduct a restocking fee from a refund you are entitled to under the consumer guarantees.
Delivery damage and incorrect goods
Let us know if your delivery is damaged, incomplete or different from your order. Retain packaging where practical and take photos to help us investigate. We will work with you and the carrier to resolve the issue. A request to report damage promptly does not shorten your statutory rights.
Change-of-mind returns
A change of mind is different from a faulty or incorrectly supplied product. Contact us before returning an item. We will consider your request and explain any agreed return conditions before you proceed. This policy does not promise a fixed change-of-mind return period or automatic approval.
Any conditions agreed for a change-of-mind return do not restrict your rights concerning faulty goods or services.
Orders, deposits and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible. We will discuss the order’s progress and any terms confirmed in your quote or before purchase. A deposit, special order or customised product does not remove your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Manufacturer warranties
Some products have a manufacturer’s warranty with its own coverage and claim procedure. Ask us for the warranty details relevant to your product. A manufacturer’s warranty is additional to your consumer rights; the end of that warranty does not automatically end those rights.
Fitment and safe use
Contact us if a product supplied or recommended by Tyreforce does not fit as agreed. Provide your vehicle details and any modifications so we can investigate. If you suspect a safety issue, stop using the affected product and seek assessment before further use. The cause of a problem, including any damage or misuse, will be considered as part of the assessment.
